Troubleshooting advice

If you are experiencing poor video quality or receiving an error messages while streaming 9Now, you may have a slow or unstable connection to the Internet.

To help resolve these issues we would recommend the following:

* Check your network connection.

* Refresh your router:

  1. Turn off the device and unplug the router for at least 30 seconds.
  2. After 30 seconds, plug the router back in and turn it on.
  3. Wait until all of the router's lights are solid.
  4. Turn your device back on and attempt to play a video.

* Try connecting 9Now through a wireless router connected to your modem:

  1. Turn off your computer/laptop.
  2. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable directly into your modem.
  3. Plug the other end into your computer/laptop.
  4. Unplug your modem from its power source and leave it like that for at least 30 seconds.
  5. After 30 seconds, plug the modem back into the power source.
  6. Turn on the modem and wait until all of the lights are solid.
  7. Switch your computer/laptop back on and attempt to play a video.

* Improve your Wi-Fi signal:

  1. Move your router to a new location. It's best to keep your router in a centralised location and not in the most remote area of your house.
  2. Prevent wireless interference. Everyday items like cordless phones, microwaves or some of your other wireless devices could impact your Wi-Fi's performance, so always try and keep your router away from their reach.
  3. Place your router in an elevated position. Routers perform best when off the ground and not squashed amongst other items. Keeping it above a shelf rather than within one, for example, is always a better option.
